Light, crisp, refreshing wine. Aromatic guava and spicy notes on the nose. Soft tropical fruit palate.

Light straw colour with clean peach and ripe melon characteristics. A rich and fruity palate finishes refreshingly crisp.

3) Vin de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne 2003, Domaine de Saint-Lannes, 12% France

A blend of Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Gros Manseng gives a pungently perfumed, but clean and attractive wine. It has good fruit weight with a zingy acid finish and notable length.

Crisp, lively citrus and tropical fruits with underlying toasty and buttery notes.

5) Falerio 2003, Saladini Pilastri 12.5% Italy

Peaches and acacia flowers on the nose. Balanced, ripe tropical fruit and a long subtle finish.

A soft, rounded, quaffably silky-smooth blend of Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese from Sicily.

11) Hanseret Red 2003, First River Winery 14% South Africa

Deeply coloured with an intense berry and mint aroma. Beautiful chocolatey oak and spicy notes characterise the palate.

12) Vino de Mesa Tinto NV, Rio Robles 12% Spain

This medium bodied and delicately oak-aged Tempranillo-based wine is really a non-classified Rioja. Vanilla and soft fruit notes.

13) Clos de Campagnoles VdP d’Oc 1998, Milhau-Lacugue 13% France

A well-integrated blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Showing wonderful raspberry and plum fruit characters rounded and mellowed by six years of gentle maturation. Subtle, extended length.
