50cl bottle. Australian 'Tawny'. Average of 15 years in barrel. The nose is full of nutty, caramel and fig jam characters. The palate is just lovely and the reason why good Tawny is so special. Sweet toffee, golden syrup, roasted hazelnuts and almond biscuits are the main flavours that persist for more than a minute after swallowing. Nothing could be finer with a handful of good walnuts, or with a few rich Shortbread Biscuits!

The palate is very refined and elegant yet intense & very long in flavour. Richly sweet, balanced by perfect acid/tannin to provide a silky smooth mouthfeel. Excellent, refined V.P., with less power than the 05 but more elegance. Optimum drinking time: Best 2008 to 2020.
