Wine

Grand Bateau Blanc, 2009
Barriere Frere

Per item: £11.50

Harmonious blend sponsored by sister company Chateau Beychevelle, hence the boat on the label. Pre-fermentation skin contact maceration, lees stirring in barrel & partial new oak aging. It's got a lovely perfumed nose with gooseberry, grapefruit, a touch of honey & oak. Really tangy & fresh on the palate with citrus, a touch of mandarin/orange, & a crisp citrus finish. Oak adds a little length & complexity. Lovely fruit, acidity & oak balance.
