Whisky

Tamdhu 34 year single malt
Duncan Taylor

£10.50

5cl miniature. Distilled in 1969, this is a little piece of history. Tamdhu, a name meaning “little dark hill” in Gaelic is the only distillery to malt all of its own barley on site and is much sought after for blends, including Famous Grouse. Quite a sweet, floral whisky with great structure coming from the oak.

Whisky

Big Peat Blended Islay Whisky
Douglas Laing & Co

£10.85

This terrific blend of Islay malts even contains some from the closed and much sought after Port Ellen distillery. If you are a fan of big, smoky Islay malts this one is a must and an absolute bargain. A bearhug of peat, this whisky also has the unmistakable salt and medicinal aromas found with Islay whisky. Try as a taster before moving on to the 70 cl bottle!
