Tasting is what appreciating wines is all about. Although we passionately believe that you can increase the pleasure you get from wines by learning more about them and how to taste them (for example, by taking one of our wine courses) we also believe that wines should be fun and rewarding on a number of levels. Accordingly, we offer a range of practical opportunities for you to participate in events which are aimed at bringing the world of wine alive for you.
It is our policy to regularly engage winemakers (and wine estate representatives or wine trade professionals) from around the world to give public tutored tastings of their wines or on themes as appropriate. These are normally small, ticketed events, advertised in advance, of up to 30 or so people held locally in and around Eastbourne, usually on evenings depending when the speaker is available. Tickets are normally £15 to £20 depending on the venues and wines on show

We would be delighted to organise a tasting for your private party or function. These can be on any theme and at any level, informal, tutored or in the form of a competition between teams (see ‘Format and price guide’ below) and are usually best for between 10 and 40 people, although larger numbers can be accommodated. See below for event format and prices.
Tutored tastings can be provided on a theme or themes and at a venue of your choice (usually the normal meeting place of your club or society premises).
We would be particularly pleased to work with you to provide a detailed format for a tasting that meets your specific needs, for example wines from particular estates.

Need a corporate event with a difference? Then why not let us organise a wine tasting for it, whether it is an office party, the launch of a new product or service or simply an introduction event to prospective customers. Any number of people can be accommodated.

To request a tasting you must first register your details. When you have done this simply complete the following form and click the submit button. We will then plan the event for you and discuss any finer details with you if necessary well beforehand.
For wholesale customers we provide tastings for your staff on the wines you have selected as part of our commitment to you and in support of our philosophy of service, quality and awareness. These will most often comprise a tutor-led tasting of the wines undertaken on your premises. And as part of the fostering of rewarding business relationships we would normally offer these for free. Background information on the wines and the estates will also be made available, so that you and your staff can engage meaningfully with your customers and talk with confidence about the wines.
If desired, further generic wine tasting skills and in-depth knowledge of wines and wine types can be gained through participation in our wine school.
