The vineyard of Quincy is a small appellation of only 200ha set on a plateau of alluviams from the river Cher, but was the second to be granted its AC after Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Purchased in 1993 by Jean-Charles Borgnat, a geologist by training, this is a small family Domaine of 7.15ha producing superb hand-crafted wines. Made from Sauvignon Blanc this is an excellent alternative to Sancerre.
