Tasting note
Winner in the Haut-Medoc class of 'Bordeaux 2007 Revisited', Decanter Magazine.
"Deep colour, full and really good spicy, plummy fruit, tannins still quite firm, but good Pauillac-style Médoc with more ripeness than many." Decanter Magazine. Drinking beautifully now and for 3-5 years.

Wine note
This Haut Medoc property is owned and run by the proprietors of Pichon Lalande with the same wine-making team.

Producer note: Chateau Bernadotte
In May's Decanter Magazine was Steven Spurrier's "World", Bordeaux 2007 'revisited'. A tasting attended by 12 of the UK's most influential merchants and 2 writers (Steven himself & Neal Martin of eRobertParker). A tasting of 230 wines in 21 flights based on classification & price. In the Medoc/Haut-Medoc catagory, voted top wine was Ch. Bernadotte & second was Ch. La Lagune. Makes Bernadotte amazing value at £13.50!

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande acquired Château Bernadotte in the Commune of Saint Sauveur which borders the Pauillac appellation to the west close to a number of classified growths and only a few kilometers away from Pichon. This property is attractive due to its quality soil made up of a very fine plateau of gravel on clay, by its position close to Pauillac and by its proximity to prestigious classified growths. In 1998, May-Eliane de Lencquesaing and her team made important investments not only in the château, vat room and cellars but also in the vineyard (a study was made of the soil, vine-stock was replaced, and parcels replanted). New buildings for storage have been built and the property today is fully equipped with all the facilities necessary for the elaboration of a great wine.

Brut Reserve, , Charles Heidsieck, £45.00 France, White
Triple gold-medal winner 2012: Gold IWC, Trophy DWWA, Gold IWSC
Class and sophistication are what Heidsieck embodies. Complex pastry aromas, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango and greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. A perfect balance of freshness and generosity.

Brut Vintage, 2009, Henners, £30.50 England, White
Biscuity, brioche aromas, with delicate white flower and full fruit. Flavours are fresh with nicely delicate citrus and apple with a 'lees' character adding complexity.

- Decanter Silver Medal 2012 - huge potential
- International Wine Challenge Silver Medal 2012
