Tasting note
Ripe red fruit flavours and light leather make for an elegant wine with a lasting silky length.

Producer note: Jean-Claude Boisset
In 2002, Gregory Patriat became Jean-Claude Boisset's official viniculturalist and has single-handedly turned the company round from an ordinary negociant to a world-class, innovative and cult estate that is winning many of the top awards. His role reconciles the two separate arts of vinification and cultivation, making him a link between the two stages - a kind of 'midwife' to the wine. Grégory has the luxury of being able to choose his own grapes. He enjoys a symbiotic relationship with 'his' growers; that is to say, the ones who are willing to accept his drastic selection policy and uncompromising requirements. But Grégory's own master is the wine itself, whose laws are absolute and tolerate no dissention. Grégory is a quiet, soft-spoken young man with the manner of a student but a maturity beyond his years. Anxious and serious, he makes far-reaching decisions with the casual air of one to whom inflexibility comes naturally.

Le Fleuron, 2005, Heritage (Dr Dargham Elias Touma), £7.5 Lebanon, Red
Best in class - IWSC 2008 Unoaked blend that's terrific value for money, with great class and some power on the palate. Can be enjoyed with/without food and perfect for now (next vintage will be 2008 as the '06 & '07 were all sold to other countries)

Pink Floyd Rose, 2009, Chateau Miraval, £12.99 France, Rose
Part of the album "The Wall" was recorded at Miraval's own recording studios, thus the name. Grapes are bled for for 3 hours only to give a pale pink colour, with delicate fruit flavours. Very refreshing with a long-lasting taste. Medaille d'Or Paris 2010
