Tasting note
Aged 13 years in Bourbon and Syrah casks. Enhanced in Guigal Hermitage Casks. Bottled at Bruichladdich in 2005.

Producer note: Murray McDavid
Murray McDavid (MMCD) are an independent bottling company.
Many independent bottling companies bottle a huge variety of sprits simply because they exist and are available for bottling – regardless of quality.
A cynic may say that many are aimed primarily at the collector’s market. The MMCD policy is to have a concise range of top quality bottlings only from distilleries that make great spirit (not all do) – for drinking enjoyment, not just for looking at.

Brut Reserve, , Charles Heidsieck, £45.00 France, White
Triple gold-medal winner 2012: Gold IWC, Trophy DWWA, Gold IWSC
Class and sophistication are what Heidsieck embodies. Complex pastry aromas, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango and greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. A perfect balance of freshness and generosity.
Brut Vintage, 2009, Henners, £30.50 England, White
Biscuity, brioche aromas, with delicate white flower and full fruit. Flavours are fresh with nicely delicate citrus and apple with a 'lees' character adding complexity.
