Tasting note
"The wine is superb, with honeyed white fruit on the nose, a weighty flood of intense, complex fruit on the palate and hints of exoticism as well as beautiful balancing acidity in the finish" Tom Canavan, wine-Pages.com These unique very small pyramid-shaped bottles are hand-filled.

Wine note
We spotted these being filled for the American market, when we were at the estate earlier this year. We made sure some were diverted to the UK! One bottle is enough for a small glass for 2 people.

Producer note: Gunderloch
The Gunderloch estate is located in the small village of Nackenheim. This town is situated on the banks of the River Rhine at the foot of the Rothenberg. This is the famed hillside vineyardsite which the town is known for. The grape varieties of Gunderloch consist of: 80% Riesling, 5% Pinot Blanc, 5% Pinot Gris, Remaining Traminer, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir and Silvaner.

Brut Reserve, , Charles Heidsieck, £45.00 France, White
Triple gold-medal winner 2012: Gold IWC, Trophy DWWA, Gold IWSC
Class and sophistication are what Heidsieck embodies. Complex pastry aromas, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango and greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. A perfect balance of freshness and generosity.

Brut Vintage, 2009, Henners, £30.50 England, White
Biscuity, brioche aromas, with delicate white flower and full fruit. Flavours are fresh with nicely delicate citrus and apple with a 'lees' character adding complexity.
Awards:
- Decanter Silver Medal 2012 - huge potential
- International Wine Challenge Silver Medal 2012
