• Charity Moroccan Wine Tasting with Tim Wildman

  In aid of Classic FM's Music Makers' Charity (see news item below). All proceeds will be donated to the charity. To help Colin's trek across the Sahara in support of the Charity, we are pleased to announce this chance to sample some stunning wines from Morocco. Tim Wildman (a UK importer of such wines and who may well be an MW by the time!) will lead us through. Ticket price £15.00 per person.
• Sherry Masterclass and Dinner with Eduardo Orjeda of Valdespino
  on Wed 8 October 2008 from 19:00 until 22:00 | Okto Restaurant, 12 Station Street, Eastbourne
  Eduardo will be flying in from Jerez to give this masterclass in how the various sherry styles are made with sherries to taste, followed by a three-course dinner with sherries to match. Exact details and price of tickets to be advised closer to the time

• Fusion Food and Wine Dinner with Kym Tolley of Penley Estate, Coonawarra, Australia
  on Tue 4 November 2008 from 19:00 until 22:30 | Thai Marina Restaurant, 13 The Waterfront, Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, BN23 5UZ
  We welcome Kym to his second visit to Eastbourne and to one of the best restaurants in the area, where he will present his wines for tasting with a 5 course fusion tasting menu created espcially for the occasion by the chefs. Tickets £45 per person from Cooden Cellars (01323-649663).
• Cooden Cellars' Annual Portfolio Tasting

  A chance to sample over 100 of our wines and chat with representatives from our suppliers and estates who will be there presenting them. A light finger-food buffet will also be provided. Ticket prices to be confirmed.

Next March I'm going to trek 100kms across the Sahara desert (and the only bottle I'll be taking will contain water) to raise money for the Classic FM Music Makers Charity who fund music therapy and education projects which help needy children and vulnerable adults across the UK.
